Privacy policy
MasLamPen is a drawing, coloring, animation and movie-making app for children. It is built so that there is nothing to collect: the app works entirely on the device and never connects to the internet.
In short
- MasLamPen collects nothing: no accounts, no advertising, no analytics, no tracking and no crash reports.
- Everything a child makes stays on the device.
- Sending a creation to another app always asks a grown-up first.
What we collect
Nothing. MasLamPen has no network code of any kind. It does not collect, store or transmit personal information, usage data, device identifiers or location, for any user, of any age, in any country.
What stays on the device
Projects (drawings, coloring pages, animations and films) are saved in the app's private storage on the device and never uploaded anywhere.
Settings (language, theme, sounds) are stored on the device.
Deleting the app deletes all of this. There is no copy anywhere else.
Photos, videos and files
When your child chooses a picture or video to bring in, or saves a finished piece to the photo library or to a file, the device asks for permission at that moment. The app reads only the item picked and writes only the export asked for. Nothing is analyzed or sent off the device. Access can be withdrawn at any time in the device's settings.
Movies are made on the device with FFmpeg, which runs inside the app. MasLamPen never uses the camera or your location.
Sharing, and the grown-up gate
The only way anything leaves the app is the system share sheet, used to send an export to another app. Before it opens, an adult must answer a multiplication question on a keypad. What happens to a shared file after that is up to the app it was sent to.
Children
MasLamPen is made for children. Because the app collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children: there is no chat, no social feature, no web link, no advertising and no in-app purchase. This is how we meet the expectations of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States, the GDPR in Europe, and similar laws elsewhere.
Purchases
MasLamPen is bought once, through the App Store or Google Play. We never see payment details: Apple's and Google's own privacy policies cover that purchase.
Your rights
As we hold no data about you or your child, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. If you write to us, we use your email only to answer you, and delete the conversation once it is settled.
This website
maslampen.com uses no cookies, no analytics and no trackers, and loads nothing from other sites. Like any website, it is delivered by a hosting provider (Cloudflare, Inc.), which processes technical data such as your IP address to send you the pages.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new date. A change that would collect any data would come with a new version of the app and would be announced here first.
